England has 12 National Trails which are very different in character and can present quite different challenges. ย They range from rural rambles to major expeditions taking in the very best scenery and history that England can offer.

This section describes the approach I have taken to the trails I have walked to date.

Cotswold Way

Hadrian’s Wall

North Downs Way

South Downs Way

Pennine Way

Pennine Bridleway

South West Coast Path

Thames Path

The Ridgeway

Yorkshire Wolds Way

Cleveland Way

Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path

Ultimately I’d like to tackle The English Coast Path, when it opens in 2020. Some 2,700 miles!
